About us

The Eastern Partnership Community is an independent analytical portal dedicated to the issues of political, economic, social and cultural relations between the European Union and the countries at which the Eastern Partnership initiative is targeted (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine).

The EaP Community’s mission is to inspire and manage a debate among experts and politicians who focus in their work on Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and the European Union. The portal is a platform which enables the presentation of multiple views, opinions and assessments concerning the process of integrating the Eastern Partnership countries with the European Union. We hope that the body of information compiled here and the debates conducted will result in increased mutual interest and the emergence of ideas which will facilitate further rapprochement and trigger cooperation in other areas.

This mission will be carried out through the presentation of analyses and research on those political, economic and social processes which have a direct or indirect impact on the partnership between the European Union and its eastern neighbours and the implementation of the Eastern Partnership initiative. Focusing on analytical and research activities, the portal will also serve as a source of knowledge and information on the Eastern Partnership states and their political and socio-economic situation on the one hand, and on the European Union and its activities aimed at the eastern partners on the other. We hope that this will offer an opportunity for the Eastern European states to deepen their knowledge of the European Union, and vice versa, for the EU to expand its expertise in Eastern Europe. Collaboration between experts from the EU countries and the Eastern Partnership states who carry out research on mutual relations will be of key importance for the portal. The portal’s guiding principle is impartiality and equal treatment of all opinions, and the only criterion of assessment of publications will be their substantial quality.
